During the January 2019 Regular Union Meeting, ADC Secretary-Treasurer John Hopkin performed the swearing-in of Brother Michael Fox, Jr., from Apprentice Bricklayer to Journeyman Bricklayer.

The U.S. Bates Scholarship program is now accepting applications for the 2020 competition. Every year the program selects three students to receive a stipend of $2,500 per year for up to four years.

To be considered for the 2020 U.S. Bates Scholarship, a student must be the child or stepchild of a U.S. member in good standing of a BAC Local, and a high school junior who plans to take the standardized "PSAT" exam in October 2018.

The winners of the 50-50s were Brian Burton and Terry Daniel.  Dan Giebe won the attendance prize, a Milwaukee radio.  The Queen of Hearts draw was Roger Lansford.

We'd like to congratulate and introduce Journeyman Tile Finisher Anthony Bono, the newly sworn-in Sergeant-At-Arms for Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Workers' Local 18. Brother Bono works for R&F Tile and will be replacing the late Frankie Lauria, who served in that role for 24 years, or as explained by Local 18 President Mike Weber "as long as anyone can remember, even before Local 18 existed".

Our Summer 2018 Retiree's Luncheon was held on June 4, 2018, where our Lifetime Members receive their Gold Card Service Awards in the presence of their fellow retirees. 

In Addition to Brother Joe Schonlau, pictured with current and retired Officers, Brother Jack Hall and Brother Dennis Gegg also receive their Gold Card Lifetime Service Awards in 2018, but were unable to attend this event.

On April 21, 2018, the Local 1 of Missouri JATC held an Apprentice Contest at the Local 1 Apprenticeship Training Center in Earth City, MO.   The winners of each Category are pictured below.
