Job Action against Walmart in Maplewood, MO

The Officers and Members of Bricklayers' Local 1 of Missouri have an active job action against the Walmart location in Maplewood Commons. This project is being bannered to alert the public that Walmart has hired David Robertson Construction, out of Springfield, MO,  an out-of-town, non-signatory contractor paying below area standard wages negotiated by Local 1.

The Officers and Members of Bricklayers' Local 1 of Missouri have an active job action against the ownership of the new development under construction at The Shoppes at Hilltop, in Eureka Missouri. This project is being bannered to alert the public that the ownership of this development is using his maintenance staff to lay brick on the weekends and paying below area standards for the work.

2020 BRICKLAYER 500 TO BE HELD SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10

This year's Bricklayer 500 Regional Competition will be held Saturday, October 10 at Midwest Brick & Block.  And, NEW THIS YEAR, the top four masons with the highest adjusted brick counts at the end of the season will earn a spot on the World Championship roster with the SPEC MIX REGIONAL SERIES WILD CARD CHALLENGE! 

Tough As Nails Casting Now for Season 2!

Tough as Nails is a competition series that celebrates everyday Americans who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor. Competitors are tested for their strength, endurance, agility, and mental toughness in challenges that take place in real world work environments. One by one, they are eliminated until the Tough As Nails winner is named.

Back to (Apprentice) School!

The last two weeks kicked off our Fall Semester at the ADC Apprenticeship Training Center with Bricklayers Local 1 Apprentice Coordinator Dale Jennewein at the helm.

August 2020 Union Meetings

In early August, both Locals 1 and 18 held their first in-person Union Meetings since March, having taken a hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic.
