The 2020 Bricklayer500 Regional Competition was held at Midwest Brick & Block on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

The Fall Semester has gotten started for our Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Apprentices at the ADC Apprenticeship Training Center under the guidance of Local 18 Apprentice Coordinator/Instructor Charlie Reiter.

The last two weeks kicked off our Fall Semester at the ADC Apprenticeship Training Center with Bricklayers Local 1 Apprentice Coordinator Dale Jennewein at the helm. 

Below are some photos of our new (socially distanced) Level 1 Bricklayers hard at work in the shop and being observed by some of our Local 1 Officers.

As reported in the joint ADC Informational Meetings livestreamed on our Facebook page in April 2020, below is a list of the Urgent Care Facilities with a $5 copay for BAC Members and their dependents with IHF Insurance beginning May 1, 2020. 

Please consult this list for specific locations with the reduced copay before seeking treatment.  If the location you use is not listed here, the copay will be the normal $30 rate.

The ADC recently launched Online Dues Payments through the Member Portal.

As long as you're signed up and logged into your Portal, you can select the Dues Payment tab, and proceed with making a Credit or Debit Card Payment. 

From there you can choose how many months you wish to pay...

At the February 2021 Local 1 Union Meeting, ADC Director Brian Jennewein and ADC Secretary-Treasurer John Hopkin presented Brother Paul Mahoney with his 25-Year Service Pin.  

The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers annually awards three scholarships to students whose parents or step-parents are Members of a BAC Local. The stipends are $5,000 per year for up to four years – up to $20,000 total.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the SAT/ACT exam requirement has been waived and students do not need to take the SAT or ACT exam to be eligible to apply for this year's Bates Scholarship.

Bricklayers' Local 1 Officers recently took job action against non-Signatory Contractor Massey Tuckpointing. Massey Tuckpointing was selected by the owner of the Forum Center, located in West St. Louis County at Olive Blvd and 141, to tuckpoint the building.
