The 2020 Bricklayer500 Regional Competition was held at Midwest Brick & Block on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

The last two weeks kicked off our Fall Semester at the ADC Apprenticeship Training Center with Bricklayers Local 1 Apprentice Coordinator Dale Jennewein at the helm. 

Our Bricklayers’ Local 1 Apprentices recently gave their time on a community outreach project at the St.

East Central College has formally announced the new agreement on their website and in a series of press releases. An excerpt is below:

East Central College will offer an opportunity for Bricklayers' Local 1 members to complete an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Skilled Trades. This degree opportunity was agreed upon recently between the College and the Bricklayers' Local 1 of Missouri Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).

Bricklayers' Local 1 has an active job action on the Washington Apartments, located at 6678 Washington Avenue across from the Washington University Campus, for hiring a contractor paying substandard wages to perform its restoration work.
The 2019 Bricklayer 500 Regional Competition will be held Thursday, Sept 12 at Kirchner Midwest Brick & Block! 
JT and Jakob Payne will be back to defend their title, but there's only room for a limited number of teams, so enter now!

Bricklayers’ Local 1 of Missouri Joint Apprenticeship Training Center now offers an Apprenticeship Training-Skilled Trades Associate’s Degree in Applied Science (AAS) through East Central College.  The Associate’s Degree program is available to all current and active Bricklayers’ Local 1 of Missouri Members who have completed the Bricklayers’ Local 1 JATC Apprenticeship Program at a total cost to the member of $1,976.00.

Recently, Bricklayers' Local 1 Apprenticeship Coordinator Dale Jennewein and St. Louis Job Corps Bricklaying Instructor Otis Peebles sat down to explain our training programs with Bonita Cornute for her Open Source Podcast on Apprenticeship.
