The 2023 Bricklayer500 Regional Competition was held at Midwest Brick & Block on Saturday, September 16.  As has been customary, every team competing was a Union Member employed by one of our Bricklayers Local 1 of Missouri Signatory Contractors.




We are excited to announce the First Place winning team *and* the Top Craftsman award at the 2023 Bricklayer500 Regional Contest are Local 1 MO Journeyman Bricklayer Rudy Menke, and his Mason Tender Steve Braswell, employed by Local 1 Signatory Contractor John Smith Masonry. They will be advancing on to the National Championships in Las Vegas in January 2024.

At the Local 1 Union Meeting on May 2, 2019, the winner was drawn for the Gun Raffle to benefit the BAC ADC PAC Fund.

The winner is Greg Johnsen.

At the April 2019 Local 1 Union Meeting, ADC Director Brian Jennewein and ADC Secretary-Treasurer John Hopkin presented Brother Gerald Knapp with his 40-Year Service Pin.  

The ADC of Eastern Missouri recently hosted an IMI Contractor Development class.  Several representatives from the IMI joined your Officers in explaining how to become an ADC Signatory Contractor to interested Members.

The Officers of the ADC of Eastern Missouri are pleased to announce an unprecedented 8-year extension to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between Bricklayers' Local 1 of Missouri and the Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis. The extension makes the current CBA a 10-year deal, expiring in 2029.

A new AutoZone in Barnhart, Missouri, is being bannered to alert the public that an Out-Of-State non-Signatory Contractor that pays its workers substandard wages and benefits was hired to build this new store location.

Below are maps of Prevailing Wage rates specified by the Missouri Department of Labor labeled by county.

Due to the recent bill passed in the Missouri State Legislature to dismantle Prevailing Wage protections that were originally established in  the 1930s, each county now has its own Prevailing Wage rate.   These rates are the total package.

The Texas Roadhouse location in Arnold, Missouri, is being bannered to alert the public that this franchisee hired a Contractor that pays its workers substandard wages and benefits to build an addition to the restaurant building.
