The 2023 Bricklayer500 Regional Competition was held at Midwest Brick & Block on Saturday, September 16.  As has been customary, every team competing was a Union Member employed by one of our Bricklayers Local 1 of Missouri Signatory Contractors.




We are excited to announce the First Place winning team *and* the Top Craftsman award at the 2023 Bricklayer500 Regional Contest are Local 1 MO Journeyman Bricklayer Rudy Menke, and his Mason Tender Steve Braswell, employed by Local 1 Signatory Contractor John Smith Masonry. They will be advancing on to the National Championships in Las Vegas in January 2024.

IT'S OFFICIAL! The Citizens' Referendum Petition has been certified with a total of 250,327 valid signatures by the Missouri Secretary of State!  The final certified total is 80.6 percent of the original 310,567 signatures turned in.  The referendum petition will be placed on the November 6, 2018 ballot unless a different date is designated by the General Assembly.

Over the Summer, your ADC Officers spent several weeks volunteering their time at the Lift for Life Gym.

CHARLES DENNIS – 58 YEAR GOLD CARD MEMBER

Recently, at a meeting held for the lead Officers of Locals across the International Union, Retired ADC Director Don Brown was honored with the Craft Award for Outstanding Local/ADC Officer.  Perhaps we are a bit biased, but we'd say it's justified. 

As part of the awards ceremony. the International Union put together a short video presentation on Don that we have linked below for our membership.

Several of our Bricklayers' Local 1 Members competed in the SpecMix Regional Bricklayer 500 event held annually on September 28, 2017. Among those who competed, two of our members won top honors.
