Bricklayers Local 1 of Missouri has an active job action against Savannah’s in Cedar Hill for hiring a non-Signatory Contractor

The new IHF Clinic inside the new ADC Hall located in Fenton, Missouri, opens to all active Members and their families on Tuesday, August 17!

The ADC Union Hall, IHF Health Fund Office, and Local 1 Pension Fund Office have relocated to our new home in Fenton, Missouri!

In late January 2021, Apprentices from our Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Workers' Union Local 18 of Missouri Apprenticeship Program crafted and delivered a handmade mosaic tile recreation of the Missouri Department of Conservation logo in a wooden frame.  The mosaic logo project is currently on display in the main entry foyer of the MDC St. Louis regional office.

The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers annually awards three scholarships to students whose parents or step-parents are Members of a BAC Local. The stipends are $5,000 per year for up to four years – up to $20,000 total.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the SAT/ACT exam requirement has been waived and students do not need to take the SAT or ACT exam to be eligible to apply for this year's Bates Scholarship.

Bricklayers' Local 1 Officers recently took job action against non-Signatory Contractor Massey Tuckpointing. Massey Tuckpointing was selected by the owner of the Forum Center, located in West St. Louis County at Olive Blvd and 141, to tuckpoint the building. 

The Fall Semester has gotten started for our Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Apprentices at the ADC Apprenticeship Training Center under the guidance of Local 18 Apprentice Coordinator/Instructor Charlie Reiter.

The 2020 Bricklayer500 Regional Competition was held at Midwest Brick & Block on Saturday, October 10, 2020. All 7teams competing were Union members employed by Bricklayers Local 1 of Missouri Signatory Contractors.  This year, the event was expanded to include a Blocklaying competition, "The Fastest Hands on the Block", as well as an Apprentice Contest, consisting of 9 Local 1 Apprentices, 3 per term year.

Get excited! The 2020 Bricklayer 500 Regional Competition is THIS SATURDAY at Kirchner Midwest Brick & Block!
 
There's a whole day of competitions, starting with the Apprentice Competition at 7:30am, followed by the Bricklayer500 main event at 11:00am, and the Blocklaying Contest starting at 12:30pm.
